Dental Marketing in Arizona
Arizona keeps adding people, and many of them land in brand new neighborhoods on the edges of the Phoenix Valley. For a dental office that means a steady stream of residents who are looking for a first local dentist, along with plenty of competing practices that want the same patients. Tucson is a smaller, steadier market, and the rest of the state is spread across a handful of compact metros.
Below is how we approach search, Business Profiles, paid ads, websites, and reviews for Arizona practices, with links to our Phoenix and Tucson metro programs.
Arizona at a Glance
7.6 million
Arizona residents
Census Bureau estimate for July 2025, up about 6.5% from the 2020 base.
About 83%
live in the Phoenix or Tucson metro
Roughly 5.2 million in Maricopa and Pinal counties (Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler) and 1.1 million in Pima County (Tucson).
2
dental schools, both in the Valley
A.T. Still University's dental school in Mesa and Midwestern University's College of Dental Medicine in Glendale.
Population figures are U.S. Census Bureau Vintage 2025 estimates, with growth measured from the April 2020 estimates base. Dental school details come from each school's own website and the ADEA school list.
New Rooftops Mean New Patient Searches
Fast growing suburbs
Population change in several Arizona towns between 2020 and mid 2025:
- Queen Creek: up about 51%
- Buckeye: up about 37%
- Goodyear: up about 30%
- Marana: up about 26%
- Surprise: up about 22%
Growth like this rewards practices that show up early. A newer community may have only a few established offices nearby, so a well built listing and a location page that names the area can win a large share of first time searches before competitors catch up.
Beyond Phoenix and Tucson
Arizona's other metro areas are far smaller:
- Prescott Valley-Prescott: about 253,000 people
- Lake Havasu City-Kingman: about 228,000 people
- Yuma: about 224,000 people
- Flagstaff: about 144,000 people
- Sierra Vista-Douglas: about 126,000 people
In these markets one office can serve patients spread across long distances. We focus on complete, accurate listings, plain service pages, and wording that names the outlying towns you draw from, so people searching from forty minutes away still find you.
How We Plan an Arizona Program
-
Step 1
Get found by families who just moved in
Someone who closed on a house in Buckeye last month has no dentist yet and no habits to break. They search on a phone, compare the first few map results, and call. We make sure your Business Profile, location page, and reviews are ready for that first search, including the newer neighborhood and subdivision names people actually type.
-
Step 2
Build pages around the Valley's real geography
The Valley is one metro on paper, but patients think in East Valley, West Valley, Scottsdale, or central Phoenix, and rarely cross the whole region for a cleaning. We write location content and service area wording for the communities within a sensible drive of your chairs, not for the metro as a whole.
-
Step 3
Set ad targeting by drive time and adjust with call data
In a metro that sprawls across two large counties, a wide ad radius pays for clicks from people who will never make the trip. We start Google Ads with locations set to people in or regularly in your area, then tighten or widen the map once a few weeks of tracked calls show where booked patients really live.
-
Step 4
Keep Tucson campaigns local in tone
Tucson practices compete with fewer offices than the Valley, so a complete listing and a strong review count can stand out quickly. Copy that names the parts of town you serve, from Oro Valley and Marana to the south side and Sahuarita, tends to beat generic statewide language.
-
Step 5
Turn reviews into a routine, not a campaign
Google names prominence, which includes review count and rating, as one factor behind local results. We set up a short text or email request after visits and prepare reply drafts your team can approve, so the review count keeps growing month after month instead of in bursts.

More on graphic design →A Remote Team for Arizona Practices
We have no office in Arizona. Our team is based in Sacramento and San Mateo, California, and works with Arizona practices remotely through video meetings, shared dashboards, and email. Our team has been building websites since 2014 and has served more than 100 practices.
Scheduling is simple. Most of Arizona does not change its clocks for daylight saving time, so from March to early November our California office keeps the same time as Phoenix and Tucson, and in the winter months Arizona is one hour ahead of us. Practices in Prescott, Yuma, Flagstaff, or anywhere else outside our two metro programs get the same process, built around their own town and the communities around it.
